Differences from v4.x
You may like to know that the product architecture changed from the 4th to the 5th series.
In movable type v5.x you cannot create blogs without a parent website. You could create as many parent websites you want, normally one for a domain. Then, under each parent website you could create as many blogs you want.
Movable Type Professional
The following template sets are available for parent websites under movable type professional:
- Classic Website
- Professional Website
Movable Type Professional contains 5 template sets for children blogs that you could create either underneath "Classic Website(s)" or "Professional Website(s)".
These 5 children blogs template sets are:
- Community Blog
- Professional Blog
- Classic Blog
- Community Forum
- Pico
Movable Type Open Source
Under Movable Type Open Source you have only one parent website template set available.
- Classic Website
Underneath this parent website you could choose to create one or more blogs of the following types (template sets):

- Pico
